Where Have all my Smillies Gone!

Ok,

Mods deleted wrong ghost topic, so here we go again!

None of the smillies show up on my preview or the posted topics. I type in the codes, but even these don't show in the finished thread. Any ideas?

I have tried to look in 'preferences' but it does not seem to be covered there. I have just had a new genuine copy of XP installed after re-formatting the Hard-drive...does this have anything to do with things?

Do you get the red cross? what browser and AV you using, in options on either of them ticking the allowing animations box should let you see them.

I do not see the red cross...don't see anything at all. Even if I type the code, that does not appear either.

I am using Int Explorer 6 with SP2 and the 'play animations' box is checked. It is a SyncMaster 940F Flatscreen run by an ATI Radeon X800 connected digitally. In fact, on my other car web site (www.xkec.co.uk) we have a full Forum and all little icons work fine on that, which is why I thought it might be something to do with my PH preferences.
