STEERING RACK GAITER?

The Griff sailed through it`s mot with just an advise on the steering rack gaiter on one side, can anyone tell me what other vehicles it fits (nearside one) as i want to order one up from my local pats supplier. Ta in advance...........Martin

I replaced mine a while ago, using a universal kit from Leamoco. They were decent quality closed cylindrical types and not the wrap-around ones that can be tricky to seal up. They have a series of steps at each end to suit various sized racks & track rods and fitted well.

You'll have to remove the outer track rod ball joint to get the new gaiter on, so remember to paintmark the exact position of the bj on the track rod before you remove it. This gives you a fighting chance of a decent toe setting when you refit it.
