Jaguar X-Type Coupe?

Flicking through this months EVO last night and came across a letter (letter of the month) from a reader saying he'd done a design study for a Jaguar X-Type Coupe but said that Jaguar weren't interested.

This sounds very naive on Jaguars/Ford's part. Jaguar are trying to shed the 'old man' image and an X-Type Coupe would surely contribute taking the fight straight to BMW. Two doors, 4 wheel drive, big V6, surely it would sell?

Looking at the guys sketches I think it looks stunning and the people at EVO seem to agree.

Come on Jaguar - pull your finger out. What do you guys think?
