I have twelve pictures of the cast of a production that my Daughter is in.

They need to be printed off with the name and character on the print and I would like to add a frame effect to make them stand out.

Can anyone hold my hand through how to do it in Photoshop elements? I cannont find reference apart from that I have to do it in a separate layer?

Many thanks
Nick

Can you firm up what you mean by 'frame effect' ?

Do you want to place a picture of a frame around the pictures, or to place a white or coloured border around them ?

Probably just a black, bold type frame around the edge, I think.

It's mostly PS but this recent thread might help...

Miniman has it covered on the linked thread

Unfortunately not all Photoshop actions work in Elements, but that is simple enough to do by hand.

YHM as below:

I have PSP 10, and the eay way to add a border is:

Go to the Image menu.

Choose "Add Border"

this brings up a box. Choose the thickness of border (you can select each side separately, or choose the "symmetrical" box)

Choose the colour by clicking on the colour swatch, and bob's your uncle.

You can do the same process more than once on each image, if you want, say a small white frame, and a larger black border...

Hope that helps,

Chris
