Sure do, it's good advertising for them.

Looks like we have a very sad dealer on here who has complained to vauxhalls about my friend getting me a car. not content with ripping us off with dealer prices they don't even like us buying cars from somewhere else now. Thanks sad tw@t, you are now on my "to do" list.

some times its best to do the deal and then talk about it....

About 4-5 years ago their was a thread about a mint 4.3 Big Valve Griff which was at a dealers who only wanted £12k for it, at a time when they were changing hands for £16k. Some guy published it all over pistonheads as he ummed and aahhed. I instead promptly drove to the dealers and bought it..:>

Unlucky mate, I would be monumentally pi55ed off if I was you. I don't understand though, if the guy wants to sell you that car for £25K, why shouldn't he be allowed to if it is his? It really is sad when people aren't allowed to get a good deal anymore but hey, lifes a bitch.

I removed it after my mate got a call from vauxhalls, he asked me to remove it as they didn't want any more dealers spitting their dummies out

....sounds like BIG BROTHER Vauxhall keeps a close eye on this forum then eh

<cynical hat on>...in that case maybe you (Mr Vauxhall) could explain to us why no-one has told Monaro owners about the lack of underbody protection on their cars?? Surely you wouldn't wait until the warranty has expired? Surely not?
</cynical hat off>

....waits for phone call......

Big Bob,

That was probably THE most bone post I have ever read!

Not only have you blown your deal, you've probably blown it for your mate too! Yes, these things happen, but to go on a type specific website and crow about it? Nice one! No wonder the dealers were spewing - I would be!

Tact & diplomacy obviously one of your stong points!!!!

Wooahh, demo man... I think you need to tone it down a bit...

Sure, we all have occasions where we dont agree with what someone has said, but let's at least be polite and courtious in our responses

Woah, thats a bit strong. The guy was obviously chuffed to bits in getting a great car at a great price, and now for whatever reason ( and it would be wrong to judge at this stage)he's a bit pissed off that he's not going to get it/can't have it etc. I probably would be as well. Wether it might have been better to wait 'til it was signed and sealed is of course another matter, but I can understand the fellss initial excitement.
