Scrap OZ SE wheels

Anyone got a pair of badly damaged OZ 5 spoke (SE style), with straight hub but knackered rims, as I found a price for putting new rims on, but don't want to do it to my current fronts as they are good and have highly polished rims.

Hence I can then sell 2 wheels after new rims are made up

@ £550 for the pair of 16 inch rims fitted to centres, vat + postage

Paul that's excellent - I always knew we were all being ripped off .. buying set's of knackered OZ wheels from ebay which had been raced and really abused, bashed out straight (ish) and then pay a fortune to refurb.

Better check if that includes new bolts too ..

Excellent news - expecially if 15 inch tyres get hard to find

Errrr I'm confused. The OZ 5 spoke wheel is a two parter. If the wheel is originally 15 inch, it can only have a 15 inch rim put on it because the main part will still be a 15 inch rim.

I'm glad you've said that, as I was looking at my wheels last week and could only make out two pieces. I thought it was because mine were early ones, and that it must be the later ones that were three piece. I came to the conclusion that you could only make them wider with new rims.

So if you undo the bolts you have a centre piece and then 1 rim 8 inches wide with a flange and 36 bolt holes ?

Would you not then be able to then make an inner and outer rim that would attach to the centre piece ?

I'll ask them if they know as well

Mine appeared to have an outer rim, and the centre/inner rim was one piece.

Yep, I went to check mine last night because I was certain they were 2 piece.
