How's this for mixed up legislation?
Discussion
A friend of SWMBO's runs a catering company. They prepare food in their kitchens then transport it in their own vans to the point of consumption. They supply schools, nursing homes, etc.
Heath & Safety and Food Hygiene legislation requires - under penalty of fine and imprisonment - that the vans are washed out every evening using a hose pipe. Water by the bucket-full is not allowed.
They have now been threatened with prosecution for breaching the hose-pipe ban in force in their area!
Damned if you do and damned if you don't.
The water company won't see sense and refuses to acknowledge the food hygiene laws.
BTW, this is the same water company that loses one third of its water to leaks.

Threatened by whom? sound like bolloc4s to me, or some little fool who doesn't understand the rules.
According to this

BBC section on Level 2 drought orders said:
Washing cars, boats, trains or aircraft for any reason apart from safety or hygiene
If this isn't a hygene reason I don't know what is.
