I know \I am dumb..I know I am stupid..but..
How the devil do you get the two spacers to fit the rear upper cast uprights without buggering the cast?. These spacers I have been told are a tight fit...you are TELLING ME!
Yes I have used a rubber mallet...no its far too tight....I have tried...ooohh I have tried...
but I am worried about using too much force in fear of damaging the rose joint or the cast.
On examination I can't see for the life of me how these spacers can be the right size to slide past the rose as they just are too big! ...by a a mil each I would say..without measuring it! Its tempting to file the damn things down but.....

Not happy with the oven idea as it may make the grease run out of the bearings.
If I remember the setup properly there is a hole in the alloy on one side of the fork and a steel sleeve in the other side with the joint/spacers between. I believe the idea is that when you tighten up the bolt you don't bend (and stress) the fork because the sleeve can move in the alloy. If this is the case then perhaps you need to start by pressing the sleeve outwards in the alloy to make the required clearance.

Seeems that maybe I have read something wrong...or....I dunno!
here it is.... I have the upright ...with the fork....with the crush-tube in place...no interferance with the inside of the fork at all...It does not protrude beyond the inside face of the cast.
I have the rose-joint...and two yellow steel spacers and my bolt!
Formula:
(2 x Yellow Steel spacers) + 1 x rose joint = too bloody big for inside fork width, cast face to cast face by around 1-2 millimetres!
I have got to be doing something wrong!

Just for others benefit...
I spoke to the factory about this, and they advised that some spacers are actually oversize!!!!!!!!
They recommend that the spacers are gently filed down or emeried so they just slide snuggly into place with no force.
Thank goodness, I thought it was me!!!

Now I can leave work early - take max advantage of the sunshine and get these uprights on their way!....ooohhh luverly 
Found someone to make my wheeeely dolleeey last week for £200 with some modds - collapsible,. and with mounts that are adjsutable for height!
....and they are promising delivery the weekend.....aaaahhh no more smashing my head on the sharp bits whilst I crawl around my single garage....just wheel it out into the sunshine.....brilliant!

Well...not quite totally colapsible maybe.
The dolly with be dismantleable for storage later, and all of the mounts (where the chassis sits) can be moved up and down so you can adjust work height - nothing fantastic!
Love to have found one that you could roll underneath and jack up - and move around on casters, but they cost way over a grand!#
