Looks like they are forecasting showers and thunderstorms from Wednesday thru Friday....that could make qualifying "interesting"

I know I was there in 2001....camping in Bleu with the tent surrounded by about an inch of water!!

Brilliant weekend and loved it more 'cos the Corvettes won their class for the first time

I got to drive my vette around the circuit on a track lap at 8 a.m. on the Saturday, I was first car behind the Le Mans Corvette pace car. I remember driving down the first part of the Mulsanne in the wet and selecting 4th and still getting wheel spin!!

One of those drives you NEVER forget.........

Not worth trusting those long range forecasts, yesterday it was saying 34 degrees by Monday 19th and sunshine all weekend!!

Fantastic! Did you record any of it for the grandchildren? I remember that year we had Corvette v Saleen v Viper for the first time. We each cheered one car. I got the Viper which was out in the first corner after the rain...

I have a tape of it somewhere at home hand videod by my co-driver Brian that year and as I accelerated you can see the camera jerk up and down!! We had Radio Le Mans on as the soundtrack and they played Love Cats by The Cure

Managed to get onto the track at the end and got onto the Bentley that came third with Andy Wallace - all whilst wearing a dress........... happy days

Just subscribed to the 10 day forecast on www.weatheronline.co.uk, as they got it spot on when we were off to the 'ring last year.. Their forecast is:

Sunny up until Friday, some rain Saturday & Sunday. But they are currently saying only 2mm on Saturday and 1.1 mm of rain on Sunday (when it'll mostly be Sunshine). After last year a bit of rain will be most welcome ... but only a bit!

I'm waiting for Mon/Tue next week for a better idea of what it'll do over the race weekend.
