Getting to/from the Driver's Parade...
Discussion
Hi
We managed to miss the Driver's parade in Le Mans town last year due to an alcoholic miscalculation. To aviod the same happening this year does anyone know a way to get from the campsite (Bleu Nord in this case) to the town and back without driving. I heard the TVRCC has busses but as a lapsed member I guess that quite reasonably, I'm not going to get a seat.
Any general bus services running? It's worth trying to get down there right?
Thanks
Marco

We missed the TVRCC bus last year as we were in the wrong place
, but we got in with a combination of walking, and the general bus (but by god was that hot and smelly). After more beers in Le Mans, we started walking back but flagged down a lift off an english man in a red ford escort
who very nicely dropped us off at Houx. The walk back to Maison Blanch took us past the pits, and we ended up sat in the middle of the start-finish straight at about 2am, with the lights from the pits in the distance, and silently and drunkenly toasted those who had died 50 years earlier (1955 accident). All very memorable and why we're going back this year.....

we wanna see the dodgy club you found last year!
We'll be lucky to find that place again. I'm assured that Mr and Mrs Dave know where it was.
I'm not so sure. I only stumbled in for a slash and ended up spending 2 hours trying to find my way out. I couldn't see properly and my legs had turned to lead.
When we did get out, all I can remember was finding a kebab shop, a glass smashing and a waiter shouting and waving a broom around.
It was like being in England.
This year, I'm taking some knee pads and some string to tie to the entrance, so I can feel my way back out of the club.
