Pick my car up on Friday. Its ready now but I'm a bit busy (well apart from surfing PH). Better get some smiles on it before lighting the afterburners on 1st July (Oulton).

I decided to take the TVR extended warranty out in the end, including wear and tear. Nothing needed doing following their inspection either.

Collected this morning. I think they replaced more than the head gasket - its definitely less tappy than before. I think a few things in the valvetrain must have been replaced.

Of course I'm running it gently for a few hundred miles. It did pink the only occassion I gave it some serious throttle. I'm running at around 96 RON at the moment (mixed fuels), so I refueled on the way home with some fresh Optimax.

Time to get that roof off (I'm ashamed to say I drove 90 miles home with the roof panels in - aircon is nice and so is being able to hear the engine for its first proper journey).
