I've been getting up early on Summer Sundays.
This week, I'll be leaving home at about 5.30am
A run across to Gloucester, Ross on Wye, Abergavenny,
The A479, 470 including the Elan Village loop for the Dams, and then round to Newtown and back down the 483 to Crossgates
A44 Leominster, Ledbury, Tewksbury, then B4077 Stow etc

I expect to be at the Dams about 07:45 - 08:00

Be pleased to make arrangements to meet any other early risers on the way!

I'm mad - but I really love driving very early on summer mornings.

I too love early starts. And also driving at night. Deserted roads and the chance to make real progress.

Enjoyed that. Great run upto the Dams - apart from choosing a gated road near Elan village. Run back was OK, but got very slow when I mixed it up with the Sunday dawlders and caravans after Hereford. 326 miles, back for the start of the GP. - which was boring.

Not sure the flies had such a good time though!

Good choice of colour for the car.

I was up in the Lakes this weekend - climbing a mountain without the assistance of an engine!!!

Some fantastic roads up there. I wish I'd been on my bike. Bit too much slow tourist traffic for good car progress, though - unles you're up early of course.
