I have found one of these, 6 months old for sale. £280!

www.ecs.uk.com/ECSWeb/Products/ProductsDetail.aspx?MenuID=61&LanID=8&DetailID=389&DetailName=Specification

Anyone had any experience with them.

Other spec is
Processor: Intel P4 2.66 GHZ
Memory: 2GB 333 MHZ (2 x 1GB Modules)
Hard Drive: Western Digital 80GB 7200rpm (Model WD800)
Media Drive: NEC 16x Dual Layer DVD +/- RW (Model 2520AW)
Operating System: Windows XP Professional already installed on system.
No Operating system CD

Anything else I could be asking about, the last personal pc I bought was in 1999 from Tiny!

You can probably get a brand new Dell off that spec for £299...

Why is it for sale after 6 months? I assume you are going to use your existing monitor, keyboard and mouse.
Seems a little expensive for second hand but the spec seems OK.

Not with 2GB of memory and XP Pro!

Approximate prices for self build:
Cheapest Pentium - £ 70
2GB RAM - £110
NEC DVD writer - £ 30
XP Pro OEM - £ 90
Plus motherboard, case, power supply. Not to mention ability, not everyone can can undertake a self build.

True, you wont get 2GB, but Dell often have offers doubling memory and stuff and I've seen plenty of offers of late in the press.

As for XP Pro... doesn't sound to me like the user really needs it. The Dell OOBE sounds more appropriate IMO.

Thanks for the posts.

Never self-built before and would be wary of doing so, but I'll stay away from that one and keep looking.
