A C6-R lap whilst following the Luc Alphand C5-R......

www.luc-alphand.com/home.php

....except it isn't a complete lap which is a shame but good none the less and interesting to see how fast the C5-R still is in relation to the C6-R.

Awesome stuff, thanks for that.

I'm going to dig out my footage from 2004 of the Corvettes, seem to recall I had some good stuff
around the Dunlop Chicane and Arnage etc and I'll post that up if anyone wants to see it.

OT: Need to sort out a LM shirt from you, what's the best way, to call or email you, credit card, cheque?

Away from the topic of shirts for a moment...

I thought the C6R was a slightly improved C5R - the main change being the body shape?

In truth the race cars bear little resemblance to the road cars (even the current Z06...)mechanically and appearance wise. (Race cars have a 6" section of bodywork added in the middle of the car to give it more width...)

Unfortunately because the C6-R has been so successful and rather than say to the slower teams "go faster" they try to slow down the more successful teams so the C6-R has at the moment 176lbs of "success ballast" and a smaller air intake restrictor.

The C6-R is a completely new car and there is very little carry over (if any) parts from the C5-R apart from the standard race car type parts.

Greast stuff, going on to my sons PSP so I can watch it again over an Arnage beat!! Anyone know when the video was taken? It seems to be before the redesign of the pit lane exit?
