Yes there are 12 of us. 6 via Calais and 6 on the Portsmouth - St Malo.

My Mrs is so happy, leave for the 24hrs next Wednesday and 3 weeks later off again to the Classic. Happy Days.

Of course.

I've managed to blag a seat for 2 laps of the circuit in one of these:

It's a 1926 3.0 Bentley.

Will be driving down in something classic - probably an MGB GT V8.

Have to take the breadknife somewhere for her birthday so thought she would appreciate looking at some of the cars she grew up with.........been to Le Man 24 about 14 times but not the Classic......hopefully it will be different.
Taking a Yellow Sport 300 from Plymouth or Poole.....

Not going this time around, but 250 to 300 Triumphs are going down - even got the ACO to give them their own camp site (Tetre Rouge).

TEAM RILEY will be there with around 20 cars, all but one (I think) will be pre-war.

Hi,

Managed to get my wife to agree to go to the Classic, but she ain't up for camping... in fact she is thinking more luxury Hotel.

Now I know that anywhere within 20 Miles is likley to be full, but any ideas on a nice hotel within an hours drive of the circuit.

Thanks

Jon

Best for hotels is to check on Michelin red guide.

Was lucky enough last time to find a free room at 10:00 Pm in Hotel de France at La Charite sur Loire.
Not a luxury hotel but typical french place packed with Morgan people...
Every hotel has last minute cancellations.

A good bet I guess otherwise would be to look for chambres d'hotes in a chateau.
Typing on google or asking the tourist office should lead to some nice little chateau...

Good luck but it's worth the trip !
