Just what is involved in removing the limiters on these things?

Is it a dealer job? I've obviously no idea so could someone enlighten me so I may inform the F-I-L in case he so wishes to see whether the thing will hold onto a 996 Turbo in a straight line?

I didn't think Porsche dealt in speed limiters, even on a Cayenne?

Sorry, possibly it is. I'm not sure if a dealer would do it but you can always go to Rob at www.dmsautomotive.com who has taken the limiters off several cars for Vmax.

So I'm guessing that 165 is it's physical limit without any tinkering?

Even with 450bhp, it's still a housebrick aerodynamically isn't it?
