clutch help needed

my car is with a mechanic. the job to change a slave clutch cylinder (ended up being a sealing job) and change a petrol pipe has gone on from Wednesday morning and now wont be finished 'until monday'

cant help but think with this weather, something is going on.

just for peace of mind, how long would it take to re-install a slave cylinder? (he sent it off for sealing and will receive it back today)

could he install it by the end of today?

Couple of hours, it's only 2 bolts or something like that IIRC, then re connect the pipe and bleed the system. i had a look the other day it's pretty accessible from under the car.

Ah but then he has to test drive it over the sunny weekend before he returns it to you.

Took me about an hour, on a ramp. A good mechanic should be able to beat my time.

did you note the mileage before you took it to the garage?
