The fans in these machines are annoying me.
Anyone know of a water cooling solution for 4 pc's?
I suppose I could just get some 4 cpu heatsinks and one big pump/radiator combination but how do I work out what sort of output pump is required and if quite large how much noise that would make.
Thoughts?

Stick em in the shed..... that's what I did with the last project that needed me to have two blade servers under my home office desk.
Bollox to that I thought, I friggin hate fan noise, I'll stick em somewhere else and VNC to them.... just don't run your CAT5 along the same route as an electric fence.
Mine has been watercooled for about 3 years now. Things have probably moved on somewhat now, my setup is rather ghetto though. P4 heatsink, GPU heatsink, tupperware box with fishtank pump in, all connected up via garden hose into my wardrobe using a small heatcore (i think) from a random car.
Totally silly non-cost-effective solution for you - acquire an Apple Powermac G5 with either the original dual 2.5 or the Quad, with a bust logic board or knackered CPUs or something.
Then hack a good PC logic board in - the water cooling solution in the Powermacs is massively overengineered (those G5s are hot) and well designed. It will also look cool as well as being cool. The Powermacs are also very impressively quiet when running at load.
I'd like to see someone do this, it'd probably be a Linux job though since fan control is going to be a nightmare to get working properly...
