Kensington High Street Saturday at Midnight for me.My own fault-the car wasn't charging and thinking back it was trying to tell me only I had an urgent appointment that evening and took a chance.
I managed to get the car out of harms way by using the ramp near the turn to the Tara hotel so there I was stranded in full view of everyone on a very wide pavement lit up like a stage set by the shops.
Met an amazing number of people that night. The characters that stood out were a very dapper chap in a wide suit and moustache topped by a Panama hat all the way from Oz who was a car collector-he had a classic Masser and a couple of Jags amongst others. He'd never seen a T350 and was very smitten. Then there were a couple ladies of the night bless them and a double barreled stag party from somewhere posh who offered to push start me if I'd drive them home after.
Not one jibe while the RAC man patched up a jump lead and once the police were convinced I wasn't pulling their leg about the problem were attentive in a good way.
Tremendously good atmosphere created by the car=it did look stunning in the lights!
The car gota round of drunken applause once she turned over and waves as we set off.
Must tell Mark at TVR Barnet-he could have shifted more than a couple that night.

HHHHMMMM. I have had direct experience of two of your other three marques and they gave my company far more trouble that a T350.Mines broken down twice-once because I was in a rush and took a chance on the charging and once because of a fuse. The range Rover lunched its transmission twice-the second time coming back from being fixed the from the first time causing a big accident that wrote it of.BMW....ate its camshaft.I've never owned a Stag but I believe their rep is ....legendary?

Come on stag, you loved the 350. And it got us all the way to Heathfield to pick up mine, which incidentally never gave me a minute's trouble.
Incidentally, good places to break down. 7am, pulling out of the Blackwall tunnel, in the rain in the Griff, which had a tendency to stall and equal reluctance to start when hot. Pulled up at the lights, guess what. Fortunately two builders jumped out of the van behind - "nice car, mate, need a push start". All's well that ends well. Never got a chance to thank them so if you're reading guys then, Ta very much !
And my Stag, beautiful motor, never let me down. And the Range Rover, no problems...
Reckon you're just jinxed
