What make are the 'ultima' marked guages since I need to buy

The white Ultima branded instruments are VDO. Believe that Ultima get them from www.speedycables.com/ but you can also get VDO parts from www.merlinmotorsport.com

Can you stick a meter across the sensor terminals as get the resistance? Quite happy to check mine so you can be sure it's the sensor rather than the wiring.

Take a browse at Caerbont Automotive Instruments www.caigauge.com/ , they make the gauges for TVR etc.

I was playing with their design your own gauges site www.greengauges.com/ the other day, pretty neat.
