proble with pc tv tuner when recording ) stuttering - help!

[philv]

Can anyone please help me....this is driving me nuts/

I have a usb tv tuner connected to the pc.

It receives analogue tv fine.

Howether when i record to the hard drive i get a problem.
After about 15 mins or 200 meg of file written the tv screen starts stuttering.;;;ie freezes....then plays a bit then freezes agian etc.

Is this a problem of the pc not beign able to write to the disc fast enough or somethign else?
Do i need to increas a file cache size or somethign like that?
If so....how?

Any help much appreciated ot it goes back to the shop.

Thanks.

Check you've got DMA turned on on the hard drive.
