4 hours on track in the cateringvan on Friday . . . good opportunity to get the old arms pumped up . . . just like climbing only faster : here

I get home, girlfriend cruises up in her shed with a leaking radiator . . .

Up early Sat, source replacement rad (as opposed to new shed), bung it in the garden shed (which is a high quality shed) . . . set off very late for Gairloch, 250 miles of A/B and single track, fastastic run . . . BBQ on the dunes watching the sunset :

Some nice red wine and sleep . . .

Another stunning day up north, 30 minutes on the beach next to the campsite :

Followed by one of the best 250 miles in the Elise in a long time . . . Gairloch to Spean bridge in an unfeasably short time ;-) . . .

Last run on this engine in the Elise . . . end of a 6 year run . . . it needs a new clutch, engine, battery and gearbox . . . which is what it's getting next weekend . . . I hope the next one brings as many smiles and miles as the current one ;-)

Change the rad in thg g/f's shed, vino plonko and watch the GP highlights . . .

Oh, We also saw a people carried full of camera stuff taking pics of a BMW/mini on our travels . . . nobody here ? . . . I wished we'd been going the same way . . . just so's we could have blasted past . . . filthiest car on the roads ;-)

Every one of these is a cracker. Very impressed . I am sure that these are all very sellable if you were to give it a go.

Did you use a filter on any/all of these?

Is that really scotland? never realised it was quite like that, fantastic shots, really must try and get up there sometime, it's amazing how your preconceptions can be so wrong

Scotland really is like that, the further north and west you go the better it gets . . . but this is about 4 hours drive north of Stirling . . . We must have driven close to getCarters new gaff, he is one luck sob . . . ;-) . . . perhaps it's best not too many people know how stunning it is . . . keeps the roads clear for us locals . . .

Good to chat albeit briefly on Friday Poah - the T-shirt was a clue ;-), am plannning some more track time this thursday evening . . . which should be fun . . .

All these images taken on a 12-24 lens, and all apart from the sunset had an 0.6 ND grad filter covering the sky . . . my fave new (and simple) tool for dealing with skies . . . works so much better than post processing IMHO . . .

Some of them I like, some not so much now . . . need to get some time in front of a decent monitor as these were all converted on my lappy which doesn't really have a great screen . . .

Passed Torridon approx 1800 Sat and 1400 Sun . . . wasn't hanging around though ;-)

There were lots of Elises in the highlands this last weekend, but it's surprising how difficult it is to find them . . . I only saw one other, and I know there was a large tour on last weekend . . .
