TVR Drivers Needed for GP Masters

Mansell, Prost and co to race at Silverstone in August

On Sunday 13 August, Silverstone Circuit in Northamptonshire will play host to the 'Grand Prix Masters' series. You may have seen it on TV earlier in the year.

It's the series in which Nigel Mansell, Emerson Fittipaldi, Alain Prost and other great names from F1's past race in identical F1 type racing cars. The series has been very well received with large crowds turning up to the circuits around the world to take in the spectacle of the past masters dicing with each other once again.

GP Masters

For the August round at Silverstone, TVR fanatic Don Hastie is arranging for the drivers to be paraded around the circuit in Tuscan II Convertibles and is seeking owners of those vehicles to participate.

The TVR factory will also be involved and discounts have been arranged for TVR owners too via the Car Club.

How very odd, Don's website clearly says he has got all the 15 cars he needs and got them within a week no problems from TVRCC? Does he need them or not?

Maybe he needs back up in case any of the cars dont complete a full lap.

He does go on to say...
"Come and join us and bring your TVR: Even though the race-driver seats are taken up, I want you there. As a TVR owner you can still come along and join in the display park-up"

You obviously didn't see Top Gear last week with a Tuscan II blasting round the track all day with Jackie Stewart no problems...

Oh give it a rest you lot, it's tedious in the extream.

This threads about the TVR Tuscans getting som great exposure at a well attended event, along with a brilliant piece on Top Gear and some advertorial in this months EVO and all you can do is make sarcy comments.

p.s. Unless you know otherwise (which you blatently don't else you'd be gloating) it's safe to assume it ran fine. Clarkson didn't say anything about reliability so what's your point?

Boys, boys, boys, lets drop this TVR's break down stuff everytime TVR is mentioned in a thread please. This thread is about having fun in front of alot of people on a good track what more should a PH'er want. The people who are driving I'm sure will have a great day out lets leave it at that. PS I don't own a TVR.

We do own a TVR. A Tuscan. We have had it over two years and it has never missed a beat.
