In a word - Yes.

www.lemans.org/24heuresdumans/live/pages/animations/animations_gb.html -> Water restrictions apply

"In order to preserve the water reserves and apply the water restrictions currently in force, the use of temporary swimming pools will be forbidden during the week of the '24 Heures du Mans' on all of the sites and camping areas dedicated to the event. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation."

Ah crap! How are we supposed to stay cool? Guess the predicted rain will be a welcomed relief....

Edit: Actually I've just remembered, our pool is 8ft diameter. Our gazebo is 3mx3m

Fill it full of beer bottles and insist it's actually a large cooling device...

I think the way to go is just ignore it, and deny all knowledge if someone says something.

All is not lost...get down to your local garden centre and buy a collapsable rubbish bin. They are the size of a dustbin, made from material/plastic, and have a weak spring woven in so they stand up. They pack flat and hold water/ice very well...used mine for a Bar-B-Q a while back.

Due to the bad weather (rain) is it allowed to put them up and just wait for the to fill up naturally???

Of course it might get a little had from the hose pipe

Sounds reasonable to me.

Years ago it used to be small paddling pools but now it's showing off to see who can get the biggest pool.

It's been taking the p*ss - this was expected IMHO

Just emailed our French distributors and they've told me there are no water shortages in France at the moment, only talks of introducing one

Seconded. Just spoke to our French office, (Paris South) they are not aware of any water restrictions. They are gonna do some digging and get back to me
