I've had my Cayman S for about 4 months now and have done about 4,000 miles in it. A nice mixture of city jams, motorways, B roads, relaxing drives, hard drives, European plays and some superb laps on the Nurburgring.

The thing is I *think* that the car is better now. The engine has loosened up, the exhaust note is more racous when pushed, the brakes (which I wasn't impressed with initially) are very very good, the gearbox more precise, and the whole car "feels" more alive.

Not being a motoring journalist I'm not sure if I can describe it properly, but the car seems to have bedded in and I'm much more "at one" with it and happier with it than when it was new (which was an awful lot anyway!).

Is this possible or is it just my perception as I've got used to it? I've not known this on a new car before.

My old Boxster S was like this. Sort of got to a stage where it was all silky smooth where before there had been some roughness to things. Jees.... with your post I am getting so impatient for my house to sell so that I can get one!!!!
