Just remortgaging at the moment and switching life insurance and one of the questions is: "Do you or do you intend to participate in any sport or pastime which involves any additional risk such as motor sports..."

Bearing in mind my intention of taking the Tuscan on trackdays, what is the best way of phrasing an answer in a legally correct yet unexciting way so as to not hike my premium skywards? Also, how much is this likely to affect my premium in any case?

I was asked the same question when I took some life insurance. I explained I did occasional track days and he said that would be fine. I did double check and there was no problem.

The chap just put "no" in the box.

Track days are not 'motor sport' because they are not racing, against the clock or anything else like that.
