3200 or 4200 Tubi or Not to be !?
Discussion
TUBI OR NOT TUBI - THAT IS THE QUESTION.......
Can anyone direct me to sound files other than Tubi site of varios sports exhausts on these two cars
Are there any meetings majoring on these cars where i could hear modified cars - I am based in Northants.
Have driven 3200 - thought it was ballistic in lower gears - 4200 Spider didnt seem to be as quick (lacked turbo rush?)
Not looking to spend megabucks - so late 3200 or early 4200 to be purchased late winter 06 around £20k

Tubis, gotta get yourself a tubi. Example today:
1. Godalming high st (for those that know small village high st, me driving thru lots of stop start due to speed bumps hence more noise and burble and pops and bangs on accel and deceleration. Stop behind traffic, local village loon, drunk, old bloke, idiot, whatever, informs me its a good thing every car isn't that loud and no it isn't funny (cue the queue at the cashpoint looking bemused and me ignorning him!)
2. Way back from camberly tonight, give it some welly from teh first set of lights to the next (ok I was expecting the celica to my right to do the same!), next lights he motions to wind the window down - "that sounds absolutely fantastic" he says.
I'll never get good fuel economy cos its just too much fun listening to the car. See a bridge, wait for it, hit the gas at the right point, underground car parks - I've stopped seeing how many alarms I set off now I'm trying not to as its getting silly. Maserati event at maranellos for the trofeo launch - probably the loudest car there !
I f*****n love it !
Just can't wait till I can afford a V12 with a tubi
Cheers
Dave
p.s. 3200 and 4200 are vastly different cars - each different and with pros and cons but vastly different.

Send me your phone number and I'll give you a call from the car next time I'm out.

What are the main differences you notice David? I'm half-entertaining the idea of a GS spider next year, however I think I'd miss the turbos on my (our?) 3200GT ...

The build quality seems way higher on the 4200, more modern, and just - well differnt.
The turbo difference is obvious - but it still feels very quick !

David A, I do believe I heard - and then saw - your car yesterday at the roundabout above the Compton/Puttenham junction.
And again today I heard and saw possibly the same car at the Mill, if I wasn't mistaken. Most people outside looked up from the tables when it sparked into life.
