hmmmmmmmmm,
kinda!! the same happened to mine, although i also had a bit of a problem accelerating in second, it seemed to be as though it was retarded on the ignition, causing her to pause for a split second before picking up!!
was all sorted by changing the coil and leads by gatwick (thanks)

she's now running like a dream although im am seriously considering the new alloys offered by SP at the moment to see if that will make her a bit more stable!!
we shall see

I had the same problem now sorted....the airs (as TIV mechanics say) need sorting...inlet pressures on all 6 inlet manifolds should be the same....Cut out when warming up, hard to start when hot, if you switch on air con it clicks on/off like made...ring any bells.

As a short term fix, you can adjust this with a little hex key - tweak the idle position in the middle on the top of the engine block (you'll need to take the full bonnet off). Bear in mind this technically just alters the accelerator position, not the "natural" idle, so it's not a long term fix.

Anyway, it sounds like the clearances are closing up... totally to be expected on a fairly new car/one that has recently had a rebuild. If the next service is close at hand, just let them know at the time, otherwise book it in and get them to adjust them.

Hope that helps!

Edited to add: of course it could be any one of a hundred things, that'd just be my guess based on the info!

Depends on your relationship with your dealer, I'd guess (and just how new the car is)! A tappet adjustment is part of most garages 12,000 mile service, and chargeable as such. With a "new" car you probably want it doing at the 1,000 and 6,000 service, too. (can't remember if it's part of a 1k service, or what the deal around payment for 1k services is on a new car).
