looks a bit dull to me... lots of tarmac run off areas (why don't they put 10 or 20 metres of grass between the track and the tarmac run off?)... lots of straights.

Why not just use kyalami?

They already ruined Kyalami.

Why not East London?

Speaking of Kyalami, why not host it there instead?

Modern day Kyalami is a bit tight, twisty not long straights that the modern F1 car needs and would probably be 2nd only to the Hungaroring in terms of not having a single place an F1 car could even try to overtake.

Now if it was the old Kyalami they would have had a lovely long straight into a heavy braking area at the begining of the lap, some fast corners and a medium speed corner out of a slow corner leading back onto the long straight which a canny F1 driver could use to wrong foot another and make them slower down the straight and easily overtake.

Parts of the old circuit are used in the newer one, Sunset bend is now Budget, Clubhouse bend is Yellow Pages, The Esses are the Topsport Esses.

In reverse though which probably won't be as good, this circuit runs from bottom to top at the point, final corner being the hairpin where the pit entry is.
