Argh floppy clutch

Sods law has stuck! Finally got my car back, had it 2 days (great 2 days though 
) and I've lost hydraulic pressure in the clutch. Spoke to APM & they think symptoms suggest slave cylinder has gone. Am I right in thinking this is the expensive-ish job? - exhaust and gearbox down?

Feeling your pain, mine just had new seals done and new bellhousing thing fitted following floppy clutch pedal just over a week ago. Had it back 2 days and floppy pedal again this morning 
- Back on low loader but hopefully this time it might just need bleeding :fingerscrossedsmiley: - off to Le Mans Thursday morning 
What was it in having done before, could you be the same and you got some air into the system? Hope for you sake it isn't a whole new clutch needed as they are scarcer than an intelligent big brother contestant at the moment.

You wont want to hear this, but when you have leaking master cylinder seals its a false economy just replacing them and not slave cylinder ones (inside bell housing), after all its the same hydraulic circuit, so if you improve one set you are putting more strain on the other and probably causing the rapid failure.
I’m in same boat, just master cylinder seals leaking, was like that for almost a year with no noticeable clutch problems, just a bit stiff selecting 1st sometimes. However I opted to have the whole lot done, including new clutch, as while your paying for labor costs of having bell housing removed might as well go the whole hog............. unfortunately when I booked mine in I had no idea there was s@dding clutch shortage!

Whats the symptoms then, coz I had leaking seals for 6 months and I just kept topping up te fluid until finally the leak needed topping up every two days. Started topping up every fourteen days at first. Seals were gone, but when you actually see them for all the trouble they cause your best off putting up with the leak for a while - unless your loaded of course.

Update - looks like the master: found fluid in the drivers footwell.
basically, with mine the clutch was fine one day and then had almost no clutch the next morning. got some pressure back by pumping the pedal & then it was dead the next morning. this morning i topped up with fluid & got it working again - will have a look later today & see if its still working. I think that not getting it sorted when its like this is probably just asking to get stranded somewhere though - its off to APM on the weekend (if i make it there...)

Hi sorry to here your trouble,my master clutch seals started leaking in the footwell.After reading a thread on here I phoned Jules and he sent me an uprated seal kit.
Fitted from within the drivers footwell,bit short on space but i think easyer than the workshop manual root.
That was 3/4 months ago and every thing is still ok.(to late ive said it now).
