Hi

I'm thinking of driving the chim to Greece in summer with my mate in his S2.

Can anyone who has done a long trip (1600 miles) across Europe please give me as many tips as possible about what i should take, and what arrangements i need to make to ensure i don't have any problems?

Much appreciated.

Drive down through Italy and get the ferry. Then you will be covered by European breakdown cover. And you wont get stuffed by the Croatian/Serb/Bosnian police.

Put "Chim to Greece" in the search engine (forums/Chimaera) and you'll turn up a thread from Sept last year when someone drove to Greece in theirs.#

I always take a spare alternator belt & a bunch of relays/fuses, tape, cable ties, jubilee clips etc. These can be fitted in the cubby holes. I always invest in AA 5 star too.

Here's a guide to TVR Chimaera Touring.

The list is exhaustive but it'll give you an idea of what to take.

Enjoy the trip!

One thought - the Greek drivers are nutters - I've driven in Greece, and came round the corner to meet a bus overtaking another bus...

Hi,

I've done 2 Cannonballs in mine which were about 3500 miles each all across europe. Always had a small tool kit but never needed it. Just make sure you have all your doc's and have fun.(Not sure if you need a green card for Greece) AA cover is a must just in case its a long way home.
