fixed my electrical gremlin thanks to gbBIRD's thread GOT ME THINKING????,
i put a new shiney alloy ciggie lighter in to match the other shiney bits but ever ued the car until at least 2 weeks later
it was that!!! everything is back as it should be especially now its p...ing with rain
but i'm happy now thanks for everybody who helped just need to sort the he boot catch now LOL

good for you mate. Did you have to screw the wire into the back of the Cig Lighter housing, or does it just push in?

I too have boot latch gremlins - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't! Maybe it will cure itself too

I posted last year about putting one of those TVR branded cigarette lighters off eBay in the cerb and it taking a couple of fuses out and sent the horn parping, the lights staying on adn the hazzards flashing.

Amazing how a cigarette lighter can cause so much strife!

So a dodgy boot latch eh? Its proberbly down to a loose connection on the oil pressure warning switch
On a thread jacking note, it seems that I have a FULL SET OF SCHEMATICS waiting for me at the local sorting office. With time ill get em posted someware.
