Hi,
I have a new Saxo VTR with a few modifications, but one problem I don't have an alarm and i'm a bit concerned about where i'm parking it. I was wondering if I could do something, that would make it nearly impossible to drive away. At present I am simply disconnecting the battery each night. In my old car I would take the distributor cap out, because what thief carries one arround with them. Is there anything similar
Thanks

A big dog?
Removing the dizzy cap/disconnecting the battery won't stop them breaking into the car and trying to start it - thus costing you money. The main trick is to make Joe Burglar move onto the next car/opportunity. Visible deterrents help, but won't stop the pros. So one of the big yellow locks that cover's the steering wheel would be the best 'cheap' anti-theft device.
If you've got a few k worth of car and mods then £100 on a decent immobiliser is a sensible expense. I warn you, if the car is nicked your insurance premuims won't be very nice in the future. Think of it as no claims protection!
