Jeez even in the wet the Audis can get the power down. I hope the Pescarolo guys can come through with a win this weekend - it sounds better!
Aston's are quick, but the 550 and Saleen aren't far off the pace. No times from the C6 boys - what's the story there?
Poor old Shorty seems to have had a torrid time of it too.
I can't wait for Saturday, pity I'm going to be here not there!

Did something happen to the Porsche prototype class cars or were they never intended for Le Mans?
Edited to give a definitive answer grabbed from elsewhere - They didn't qualify and they were not invited. -
I'm pretty sure I've also read that Penske who are running them in the LMP2 class have the sole licence to run them in the ALMS only for 2006.

Penske run them only in the ALMS and didn't intend to run them abroad or at LM this year.
As for Rollcentre, no idea what really happened but it's test times anyway. I'm quite sure they didn't want to risk the car in the wet when the race will be in the dry. You will have to set up the car from new anyway. Today it's going to be more interesting.

These are out of date qulaifying times from the first session
Well I guess that's why I titled this thread "1st qualifying session" then
I wasn't up/online to post up the later night results althought they are here - www.lemans.org/24heuresdumans/live/pages/chronos_gb.html

Posted to give the definative answer that Porsche stated from the start of the project that they would be run entirely in the US this year, with customer versions (and possible works effort) at Le Mans in 07.
