Car wouldn't start, turned over, but nothing - usually starts on the button. Had a quick fiddle, with the car that is, then the loud pedal cable snapped as well!
Anyone got a picture of how it attaches at pedal end, after further investigation I found that mine was soldered into a small slot?

Can't help with a picture i'm afraid. It's held in place in that slot with a sort of hinged clip. Sounds like the clip is no more and it was just soldered in? If you've got enough cable left it's possible to use the brass connector and screw from a wire terminal connecting block to replace the nipple. Was done on me old 350 and lasted 5 years or so. Of course i cannot reccomend this
