Nokia software for Win Me

I have a Nokia 6230i and wish to use it with a laptop running Windows Me. The supplied software for the phone only works with XP or 2000 as did the previous model 6230, however I found software on the 'net for the 6230 that ran on Me/98 but it won't work with the newer (but almost identical) phone.

Does anyone know if there is any software, preferably downloadable, that will let me use the 6230i on Win Me?

Yeah I know, unfortunately the laptop in question needs to run some software that I have for my work which will not run on XP as it needs a Dos base, at the same time I would like to be able to access the Modem facility of the phone.

Have a look see at this, modem drivers only it looks like, but it sounds like that's mainly what you are looking for:

Was it PC Suite 5.8 that you used with your old phone (6230)? If not and you want to try it with the new phone to see if it will work it is still available on the U.S. Nokia Website:

The second version down is 98/ME compatable.

No, doesn't recognise the phone, seems it needs a later version of PC Suite (6.4 on the CD) but that won't run with Win Me, thanks anyway though.

Well downloaded it connects to the phone OK, just need to work out how to use the modem...........
