My insurance is due in a few days and was annoyed my premium which includes a 20% staff discount)had gone up by 25%, even though nothing has changed.
Shopped everywhere and couldn't improve upon the £585 from my insurance company - 1998 996, age 37,full protected no claims bonus, garaged, medium risk postcode (town centre), no points, tracker not required, social and commuting.

I then found this site which is brilliant, it also has an insurance section: www.moneysavingexpert.com/insuranc

Confused.com could only get a quote as low as £640, The quote I had from the moneysavingexpert site also like the confused site lists lots of companies. The best price was with MasterQuote/Jubilee which was.... wait for it....£468.

Really chuffed, hope you also get great quotes.

Cheers After Eight.

Hi,

Have you tried direct line?

I am 32 full NCD, clean license - for now! and for me and the missus I was only another £130 to change to my '02 C2 from my previous BMW 535 sport. My premium for the beemer was just about £300 for the year and I have 7 months to go on my year so I make it just a shade over £500 notes equivalent annual premium for the C2 and I'm a wee bit younger than you. We live in a pretty low risk area so that may be a factor. Other couple of things about DL are they insist on a tracker and if you have 2 cars with them you get an additional discount on your second car.

Hi Steve, yes I did, they were quite low at around £700 if I remember correctly but the postcode can make a big difference to quotes as there's quite a lot of car theft in my area. It only took a few minutes to get a quote online, give it a go out of interest.

And watch out, once you get over 30 the years fly by, give it a few weeks and you'll soon be 37 too!

Hey - I used A-plan and got down to £1,150. Wife is main driver, 32 9 yrs NCB parked on drive in West London. I'm 34 with 3 speeding points and we have business use, to an from meetings. Best I could get with confused and AON etc was £1,500. Oh car is 996 C2. It sounds high but we previously paid £800 for our S3 and our Mini cooper S is £600 so £1,150 is fine by me.
