Does anyone know what the rear axle in a 3000m is i.e. Triumph, Ford or jag? I need a drive shaft or a uj or both.

early cars up to about 1976 have a Triumph diff from the TR6, later cars have Salisbury 4HU diff (can be either standard of limited slip) which is similar to an XJ6 but the Jag has inboard brakes attached, driveshafts and hubs are all Triumph also sourced from the TR6. the hub carriers and diff carriers are all TVR parts.

if you look on Rimmer Bros website (www.rimmerbros.co.uk) there is exploded diagrams for all the parts which are usefull.

Aren't the driveshafts Triumph 2000 saloon? I believe they are longer.

Cars up to chassis no 3919 have TR6 diff, 3919 onwards have the Salisbury

Driveshafts are Triumph 2000

UJs are TR6/Triumph2000/Stag - they are all the same

Rear wheel bearings are Trimumph2000/TR6 again the same

Hope that helps
