New Exhaust with Pics

I had a new Exhaust system fitted today and thought I'd post up a few pics. I have gone for 2.5" from the linked de-cats all the way back to the back box (same size as sports exhaust box), then 3" all the way on the tail pipes. We didn't quite have time today to finish the 2.5" straight sections, so we have put the whole back section on to see how it performs. I have to admit that the 3" tail pipes look superb and fill the rear bumper recesses much better than the Sports Exhaust version. The sound is totally different, it is a much deeper bassier noise, with more of a race car sound as opposed to a screaming motor bike sound of the sports pipes I had on previously. My neighbour who knew I was having it fitted this morning, popped over when I returned home to say that he thought it sounded even better than before!!! again commenting that it had a "deeper" sound as opposed to the "tinny resonant" sound before. I am quietlyimpressed.

Got any pics of the whole back of the car? It's hard to see the effect when it's just close-ups.

Well not really, as not many people will be looking at it up on ramps. Just get down 'n' dirty with the floor and take some photos.

Thanks for all of the positive replies. Since having it fitted yesterday morning I have done approx 150 miles, this includes motorway, country roads and inner city. I am pleased to say that it is performing well, with no boomy noises on the M1 (even my other half thought it sounded better), but what I have noticed is a fantastic change in noise from around 3500 to 4500rpm, this is at half throttle or full. I might be biased but I am really liking the deeper bassier noise it makes and the pops and bangs are even more pronounced than before.

As for getting some more systems made up then I am not sure. We now have a template from the one made for mine and any produced thereafter will be finished even better than mine, but I'll have a chat to see what sort of costs are involved, maybe if there was enough interest then it may be a goer? They are not exhaust manufacturers, but are sheet metal specialists so can basically make anything in most metals to order, they've made exhaust systems for custom cars in the past which were superb, so building one for the Cerb was no problem.

Yes, it will definitely go on the rollers. But I'd rather wait until I have the full 2.5" straight pipes fitted from the linked de-cats to the back section first.
