Don't think I'm implusive or anything, but I went to see a V8S yesterday, saw it, loved it and bought it. A 400 mile round trip and soooo worth it. It's not as loud as my S, but very quick. And, just for a change it's Monza Red. They look so nice together.

Thats TVRs for you.

7 years ago popped into a dealer and left with a Griff 500 wondering "how did that happen?".

I am avoiding going to see any old V8S (on the premise that I want my old one back) because I would buy the first I saw and have that stupid grin all day...................

I know just what you mean, I had 3 M's in the 70's and it's taken some time to get back in the fold, next years question could be Chim or Griff?

Hi Ian, would love to bring it over, perhaps go to a Kettering meet? Or, just for a run, let me know what suits you.

I hope you really enjoyed Le Mans and that Carol is well. Dave

Hi Podie, I've taken a couple of pictures and have to work out how to get them off the camera! It's similar to me S2 but with a grey interior. And then hoe to get them onto PH.

I'm really happy with it, it just feels so well put-together, it barely rattles at all and drives so well.

Good man! Another V8S in the fold.. I found it quite different to the V6 I had, more settled on the road, and a lot faster. Didn't have the noise of the old one though..

Have to pop down to see it sometime soon.. When's the next Ashby meet?

Hi Simon, great to hear from you and many thanks for your help. I hope you enjoyed Le Mans and your chat with the French BiB was OK.

Ashby Folville is the second Tuesday of the month. If you're free, you're welcome to come to my house and go from there (neighbours come along with an immaculate Corvette and Alpine), or I'll meet up somewhere convenient.

Also, I could try and make to to Starkholmes if you let me know when you're there as I'm often chained to a desk in Nottingham.

Agree with your comments about the cars, the V8 does sit better and drive really well, but it doesn't have the 'violent' exhaust note. They still sound nice.
