I was talking to the UK Toyo sales manager tonight at the Belfast Sports Car Show. He was very interested in the TVRCC stand.
He told me that by April 2003 there will be the full Toyo range for the Griffith & Chimaera available. He said that a TVR Engineer was over with Toyo to check them out. He gave them the OK.
This should then end the big Tyre Question, for a while anyway.
Oh yes we also got the best display award at the show.

Looking out the window I hope they include a Mud&Snow tyre in the range!!
Jesting aside - this is good news as long as they are properly rated.

Full ZR rating for the tyres. No point posting if they would not do the job. I also had the Bridgestone guy with me as well, but we all told him SO3's just don't do the job as well as the SO2.
Still we will all benifit if Toyo & Bridgestone fight to put their rubber on our cars.

It's getting like Formula 1 with Goodyear and Bridgestone fighting it out

What about some photos of the stand and the rest of the show Colin? I'm sure PetrolTed would be happy to host a few if needs be. Might even give him some copy for his website.

I also think you should try and collar the Toyo man for a new set of boots for all the cars on the stand, if not this year, at least for next year.

Yep, have sent some pictures to Ted tonight, only the girly ones now. Ted was good enough to sponsor the stand and sent us some stickers. Don't see them in the pictures yet or is that because there are tyre prints in the way.

I'll wait and see if PetrolTed puts them up (haven't trawled pistonheads yet) in the next week or so before badgering him.

Very good of Ted to sponsor the stand as well, might get him a few more converts to the fold. :-)
