Will be driving down from Edinburgh to the Nats at Huntingdon later in the week. Probably via the A697, the Tyne Tunnel (Of Course!) then A1 all the way, Anything exceptional that we should be watching out for on the way? You know, Constant speed cameras, well known laser areas, that sort of thing?

Thanks

If we kick up enough dust and keep bumping the posts maybe someone from the club will come to our aid

Plenty of cameras on the A1, mainly the section I will comment on are from Newark down:

From the Grantham roundabout (Great Gonerby) there are about two cameras approaching crossings over the A1, then there is a stretch up to a pub on the right (if you're Southbound) where camera vans are not unknown. Then coming down past Peterborough, after the A47 there is a 'Not in use' camera before a new bridge. Then the 4 lane stretch, no cameras but does often have Police doing laser checks. Onto the A14 - well I think even if it does not have now, it certainly used to have the most cameras per mile, so be warned!

I'd be careful most of the way on the A1, it is a popular spot to get caught on.

Thanks FranV8, very helpful, we have the Road Angel, which will pick up the static cameras, but I'm never sure how good it is with the lasers etc.

Cheers

Hey G,

From one member of the Moscow Chapter to the other one, be safe and don't get flashed... as it were!!!

I hope you pick up a good few votes too on Sunday, it's well deserved.

Which of the lads got the shotgun, or is it only the Missus?

Best of luck bud and see you soon.

Hey JT,
Going down en mass with both lads and the Missus, We can split the driving 3 ways Mk1 son and Missus still debating which back up wagon to take, my old Scooby or her Freelander, advantages to both but we will be a tad quicker with the ricer. I dare say I will find out who won tomorrow! I will bring back some pics.

Cheers
G
