Just a thought, but:

saw a thread on general discussions about an FAQ for TVRs. Great idea.
Building on that; given the number of bits of advice on finding, fixing faults and the like that appear on here, would it be an idea for those of a generous nature to post pictures of the procedures (or an .avi, jpeg?) and carrying them out.

Could be really handy for some of those 'beneath the steering column' moments or 'simply replace the plug on the wiper control box' (i.e. which black box in the boot is that then...).

Would make a useful sticky? Who knows at the end of the year, PH could shove them on a CD and flog for buttons at the London Motor show or similar?

Could be a useful product by enthusiasts for enthusiasts?

Is there no workshop guides available? or are tvr keeping them there own secret!

There is one in the pipeline by Steve Heath, and also an AJP8 rebuild manual available on ebay. The workshop manual on cd is also helpful for troubleshooting and servicing. The search function on here is about as good as you'll get though!!

~Just bear in mind after reading the 'other' thread that the CD contains 'need to know information'. It has already been uploaded to a website (160mb), ill let you have the link privatly via email to anyone whome can pass the spanish inquisition

Has anyone bought the AJP rebuild manual? I'm thinking about it but don't want to be stiffed for £33 for a few poorly photocopied pages with little useful info. If it is as it professes to be, I'll gladly buy a copy.

Ive got one, its in a very similar format to the CD manual if not exactly the same. Photos are hard to make out but I suppose its worth it if you are going to re build your engine.

well as long as you used the correct jacking diagram and jacked and braced in two places.....always useful info so the windscreen doesn't fall out!
