What car for 2k

A bit of an Alcohol assisted idea but i have been thinking tonite of prehaps buying a fun/old/bizarre car for around the 2k mark while the Griffith gets fixed.

So thinking caps on chaps/lasses and lasses,

Quite fancy a westfield but do they go that low for something half decent

Porsche 944 you can get them for under 2k but it will be a shabby one

Westfield's *may* go as low as your budget - couldn't guarantee the pile of bits you'd get for your 2k would be driveable though. Mate of mine was looking for one to do up over the winter and the cheapest one he saw was £3,000.

You may get a Robin Hood/Tiger or some such Westerham-like for that money, don't know.

Yeah, get something like a Camaro - great presence, fun and wheelspin - for not a lot of money!

dutton owners club had a twin turbo rover V8 powered phaeton, one well sorted with tweaked vauxhall 16 valver / slicks / wets / trailer and numerous fast pinto engined cars last time I looked ... all under your budget.

You may get an M or S series TVR for that money. May require a little work, but not a lot. I recall an S1 for about £2.5k not so long ago.....

Oh, I'm not leaving the fold just the Griffith is having a Face lift and Tummy Tuck
have had a little search through TVRCC sprint and a few Web site sbut not found anything chips enough.
Off to ebay now as Denny seems to be lurking there with some joy i hasten to add.

Its got to be said there is something about that old pick up proberly the v8 thats lurking underneath i feel a bit stupid saying this but that pick up is in cool in a strange kinda way i would love somthing like that to drive about in. Will make an ideal addition to the Griff when it's finished. (Once you have it you won't sell it) Cheap to run as a classic car and makes 25+ to the gallon when it's a diesel.

Yeah, Landy's are great. My first motor was a prototype Series2. Indestructable!

I took it to Scotland - this is what happened to it



3 Days later I returned with another Landy and a winch and took it home. After taking the top off, cranking it over by hand and replacing the fuses it ran even better than before - 75mph (instead of 68). I miss it.
