Hi any help would be most appreciated, I am trying to coonnect a D-link DES1005D router for 2 pcs in the house, we used to share the connection no problem but now a member of the family has messed about with something and we now get the IP conflict balloon popping up!

Running Firefox and IE if it makes any difference, don't want to mess about with settings without advice, scared of stopping it working altogether

Give me a car or bike to fix anyday

Change the ip address on one of the machines.

Network Connections>[Network Connection]>Properties>TCPIP Properties

There will be a 192.168.0.1 type address, change the 1 to any number between 3 and 256

Note to anyone else looking at this, don't try 256, it won't work, 255 is the maximum...
