OIL DRAIN TAP ?

Is there a "SIMPLE" way to drain off a couple of swigs of oil - I think I put a tad too much in!
Hopefully someone will know of a bright red tap on the side of the engine thats easy to get to and is labelled "turn me to drain a small quantity of oil neatly into a waiting receptacle"!!

Surely its just a case of jacking up the car and looking for the sump plug and slacking it enought to drain some oil out, failing that take it to a local drive in place and ask them to do it, most wont charge you anything if its just a small amount this saves you having to dispose of the oil aswell

There's a drain plug at the base of the Oil tank. It needs a flat blade or screwdriver to release. Probably need to jack the front up, with a jack at each side.

You could try syphoning the oil using some clear pipe. Clear, so you can see it before you end up drinking the stuff. It's pricer than lager!

Just stating the obvious, but You will need to jack all 4 corners up to get it level so it drains - or jack the front up, loosen the plug off, then drop it down again.

PS - Thats all to obvious isnt it - but I've typed it now !! :-)
