just got back from le mans, didnt get there until friday night so didnt realy have any time to look up any other wedges - spotted a 450se under tet rouge bridge sat night anybody on here?. anyway the 390 ran like a dream didnt miss a beat and no overheating.
highlight of the weakend - driving from and back to caen on the quieter roads , disapointment of the weakend - what the bloody hell have they done to the fairground, no wall of death ,shot guns, fat lady, suicidal karts or strippers with snakes

Got back last night at 11pm.
Great trip as always.
Spotted a few wedges out there - 450 SE (Nigel) a red 400SE on maison Blanche and a burgandy 400 SE on the way home. Also Dicky and Julie in his 390 or 350 SE (can't remember which..) she had a little misshap and the petrol problem is just superb
Gandalf also made it there and back but with a few drama's - sure he will tell all - if he want's too.
Met the new owner of Sean Hayes SEAC - he's happy with it but it was not ready for Le Mans - so I was the Only SEAC there
My car ran without any problems - and did about 20mpg.
The future of the race is diesel and looks a bit boring

I got back in one piece at just after 7 o'clock on Monday night. My 390 didn't miss a beat either, which after doing over 1200 miles over a long weekend is pretty good.
This was my first trip to Le Mans, and I can't recommend it highly enough. You will never go to a better motor show than this. The car parks and roads were filled with pretty much any car you can think of. Funny thing was, I didn't see any other wedges, but I did see two Ferrari F50s. Does that make our cars more desirable?
I got out dragged from a toll booth by one of the F50s. Normally I'd be brassed off by this, or at least surprised, but the noise and spectacle of this car burning away was very impressive.
Oh, and the racing was pretty good as well. Let's just hope that Audi were using this as a marketing exercise, and diesels aren't the future of racing.

It was great to see the other wedges out there. A brief chat and wave at a toll booth with Rev, a wave and chat with a red 400SE in another queue. Matt-man was staying at the same place as me with his blue 400SE. I also saw another red 390/400 SE in Le Mans but it was driving on the other side of the road and was obscured by the central reservation.
The 450 ran without fault for the 1300 mile plus round trip. It only leaked slightly through the roof on Wednesday despite driving rain from Calais to Le Mans and a good night full of thunder / Lightning and heavy rain on the Tuesday and Wednesday.
I had a few people take photo's of the car with their phones on the trip back and one lad at a service station took a recording of the exhaust note with his phone too ??
Overall a great motoring festival and one hell of an experience...I'll be back !!!
