Drop Links and Driveshaft Gaitors
Discussion
They shear because they are often deformed and only have a bit of rubber holding them together. I would suggest fitting rose jointed versions as they improve the handling, cost less and do the job correctly. www.tvrextras.co.uk
The gaiters can be done by using the insitu glue together type or will require the drive shafts to be removed. Not difficult but can be a bit time consuming especially if the alllen bolts won't move.

recently did all my gaiters, I have no experience of the gluable ones but suspect that they wont be as durable (mind you my originals had gone about 18 months ago with a total milage of under 20K). Good opportunity to clean the cv joints and renew the grease and inspect the splines etc. Also cleaned and painted my shafts once all dismantled. I did it over a w/e, together with changing all the springs, cleaning the shocks, fitting new bump rubbers and fitting new rear discs. A simple two legged puller is ideal for extracting the shafts from the CV joints. A good quality set of allen point sockets and selection of extensions etc makes light work of the securing bolts. If you want more details I can enlarge on the process and got pics too.
