Just turned up a Houx after the long hot trip down and had started unloading the Venom when I noticed a electrical fire behind the dash, caused by a failed heat shield in the sills on the way down. (another reason why I had to leave Venom grounded all weekend!)
So there I am bonnet up to get rid of engine heat, no tools to disconnect electrics and not fire extingusher, pulling every fuse I could find! Shitting myself and thinking the Venom could go up in flames at anytime when some plonker asks...."can you put the bonnet down mate so I can take a picture"!! NO OFFER OF HELP!! maybe he wanted it to go up! As you can guess he was told to pee off ! TWAT!

Venom "limped" home without any full throttle action and several large fire extingushers in the footwell! Thanks for asking (sorry to hear about your filler cap)

glad to hear you survived... did get a bit worried about no filler cap with the various Friday munitions and raining burning sticks but Carrefor saved the day

Glad you got it home in one piece

Sorry I didn't wave at the tunnel on the way back, I was stuffing my face with a cheese and ham baguette when my mate said that the Viper driver had given us the thumbs up as you went past in the que.
