I'm in the unfortunate position of maybe having to sell my car, It is a 996 that has been converted into a 997 replica using all original Porsche parts, I am only going to sell it if I absolutely have too! but I'm just trying to get an idea of what it's worth? it's done 35k and has fpsh.

Thanks.

This would be a difficult one to value because of its uniqueness. Can't be many - if any - others like it! Hope you don't have to sell it though, I know how much work you put in to it from following your previous threads. Best of luck.

ask 996 money + the cost of the conversion, you can always drop it if you have to, I am sure I dont have to tell you that as great as it looks, mods like this rarely ad much value.

shame, as this cost a lot and looked great but was of very personal taste IMHO

far be it for me to ask you to suck eggs but isn't your comment a bit contradictory? I reckon you'd be lucky to get any more than the value of a 996 if the conversion had never been done.

Keep us posted on prgoress as it will be interesting to see how tricky this is to sell

thats such a shame... you put a lot of hard work into it...

To be honest, with the 997's still fetching a premium, i'd say you'd probably get what its worth as a 996 + 10-20%, depending on whether you had a buyer who really wanted a 997 but could only afford a 996...

As has been said, put it up at a fair price for the car + conversion, and see what sort of response you get... worst case you have to drop your asking price to get interest...
(but its a lot easier to lower the price than raise it)

Is the garage that did the work going to be able to start selling body conversion kits based on the work they did to your car? How much is the conversion kit?

It's an amazing conversion considering the effort that went into it and the fact that it hadn't been done before. But Porsches aren't MR2s. I would be surprised if someone were willing to pay a hefty premium for an irreversible bodykit on an otherwise perfect 996. Just my £0.02.
